Finished Medusa

Here's a finished version of the Medusa illustration I posted earlier. This has been an interesting experiment, trying to save an old illustration I liked, by doing a repaint of it. My initial effort was around twelve years ago. At the time, my skills were insufficient to create the type of image I was hoping for. It is encouraging to see that years later, I'm still improving. I wish I could spend more time painting and drawing to make up for my misspent youth.

Thanks for stopping by.

creepy cool chris; that's book cover material!! one small thing,... this is how messed up my brain is right now, so take this for what it's worth, constructive criticism from your super tired artist friend greg; i thought for a moment that medusa was doing her laundry because it kind of looks like she's holding on to one of those old fashioned washboards! ;) it's the way her creepy claw is positioned, lined up with the horizontal lines of those pathway steps in the distance. does that make any sense, or do i need to rest my eyes? :P lol

Thanks Greg! Now that you mention it, I do see a little washboard action happening. Good thing the paint is not dry yet. ;)
