Ingenue

Another portrait for a personal web project. She is definitely other worldly, this Ingenue. But, who knows what lurks beneath her bewitching facade? Anyhow, this is part of a series of portraits for an entry page to a website. I'm slowly plugging away at the pile of art needed for this project.

Hats-Illustration Friday

I don't know if I'll have time to do a newer illustration for this IF topic. Just in case I don't I'm posting this older piece, from the ever developing portfolio. Big Industry/Big Oil's reaction to the Kyoto Protocol on climate change.

Winter is coming--Ice Queen?

Now that we're into November, I'm expecting snow any day now, but hoping it is delayed until December.

This originally began as a submission to an RPG company, of a character of theirs called the "Ice Queen." The character is supposed to be a mix up of Far East, and Medieval European design. I left out the medieval European design, and tried to get a looser, more painted feel. I have a tendency to over work pieces, and I'm trying to get out of it. That being said, I may polish this one just a little more. ;-)

Happy Halloween! - IF: Trick or Treat

Werewolf of London, out on the town. I finally painted this, from a sketch I did around eight years ago--no procrastination on my part! I also entered it in the weekly Illustration Friday challenge. I had hoped to finish it last week, so that I could sell prints at a local Comic & Sci-Fi Convention, but alas, it was not to be.

A little lovey-dovey on the cell, or a wrong number?

Spidey vs. Venom!!!

A fun little sanity break, to kick out the jams. I wish I could do these more often. Of course, Spidey and Venom are © Marvel Comics.

IF-Momentum

Another super quick one for Illustration Friday. Funny how paying work gets in the way of enjoyable distractions. This is really just a preliminary sketch for a more involved illustration, of a whirling Dervish, that grew out of this week's IF theme. Hopefully, I can finish it one day.

gentleman vampire

Slowly plugging away at a personal project. This is the latest in my progress. Hope to have more soon.

IF-Visitors

A super quick, and rough, one this week, as I was buried under deadlines. I'm not even sure if I submitted it in time.

About an hour, all told. I'll probably do some work on this later to bring it to a more finished state. These are the "frog days of summer." Yes, 'groan,' I couldn't resist.

IF-Captain

Another quickie for Illustration Friday. Hopefully, I submitted this one in time. Based on a 20 min. pencil sketch, and then about one hour in Photoshop.

Yes, I do have kids--two boys.

Illustration Friday - Emergency!

My first entry for Illustration Friday, on the theme of "Emergency." Not sure if I got it in on time, but I'm posting it here anyway. Hopefully, I can schedule one of these quickies every week.

Joker

some comic book fun.

On a theme of love -- for a local zine.

Painted in photoshop, when I should have been painting comic books. I will add colour to this, once I'm happy with the b/w. Just need to live with it for awhile.
